Project Overview

I served as a volunteer designer for the Can-Do Crew organization. I was given the opportunity to work with their leadership team to design the entire Can-Do Crew website. The leadership team wanted to create a website that both explains what they do as an organization, but also provides teachers with a place to learn about the workshops and download the necessary materials.

The goal of the project was to create a website that reflected the branding used in the Can-Do Crew workshop materials and increased the accessibility of the organization’s materials and mission. I chose to build the website in WIX because it allowed me to create an easy to use theme, navigation structure and drag-and-drop functionality. The leadership team had on major request and that was that they would be able to maintain and update the website in the future. In order to make it easy and efficient for them to control the website post design, WIX was a great option.

My Role

I created the branding for the website, as well as the website layout and architecture. I also built the website using WIX, in order to be able to pass of the maintenance of the website off to their team. Once the website was designed I held a tutorial session during which I showed the leadership team how to use WIX and make future updates.
